Ingredients

Whipped Feta Base
  • 8 oz Feta Cheese Block feta packed in brine, drained
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese Softened
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Extra virgin
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
Topping & Serving
  • 2 tbsp Honey Or more, to taste
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano For sprinkling
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For drizzling
  • 1 serving suggestion Pita Bread or Crudités For dipping

Method

Instructions
  1. Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature for the smoothest texture.
  2. In a food processor, combine the drained feta cheese, softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice, and black pepper.
  3. Process the mixture for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl halfway through, until the dip is completely smooth, light, and airy. If it seems too thick, add 1 teaspoon of water or brine at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Transfer the whipped feta to a shallow serving bowl or plate, using the back of a spoon to create a nice swirl or well in the center.
  5. Drizzle the honey generously over the top of the whipped feta, allowing it to pool slightly.
  6. Sprinkle with dried oregano and finish with a final drizzle of high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
  7. Serve immediately alongside warm pita bread, crusty bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes along with the topping, or blend 1 clove of garlic into the feta mixture. This dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but bring to room temperature for 20 minutes before serving for the best texture.
