- Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature for the smoothest texture.
- In a food processor, combine the drained feta cheese, softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice, and black pepper.
- Process the mixture for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the sides of the bowl halfway through, until the dip is completely smooth, light, and airy. If it seems too thick, add 1 teaspoon of water or brine at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the whipped feta to a shallow serving bowl or plate, using the back of a spoon to create a nice swirl or well in the center.
- Drizzle the honey generously over the top of the whipped feta, allowing it to pool slightly.
- Sprinkle with dried oregano and finish with a final drizzle of high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
- Serve immediately alongside warm pita bread, crusty bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes along with the topping, or blend 1 clove of garlic into the feta mixture. This dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but bring to room temperature for 20 minutes before serving for the best texture.
