Ingredients

Salad Base
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Whipped Topping (like Cool Whip) thawed
  • 1 cup Sour Cream full fat recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Mix-ins
  • 3 large Granny Smith Apples cored and chopped into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 8 bars Snickers Candy Bars chopped, save a few for garnish
  • 1/2 cup Miniature Marshmallows

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  2. Add the thawed whipped topping, sour cream, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Beat on low speed until just combined, then increase speed to medium and mix until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped apples, chopped Snickers bars (reserving some for topping), and miniature marshmallows using a rubber spatula. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This allows the flavors to meld and the apples to soften slightly.
  5. Before serving, transfer the salad to a nice serving bowl if desired. Sprinkle the reserved chopped Snickers bars over the top for visual appeal and texture.
  6. Serve chilled. This dish is best consumed within 24 hours to maintain the crispness of the apples.

Notes

For a tangier flavor, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt. Do not use peeled apples, as the apple skin adds necessary texture. If making ahead, add the apples no more than 4 hours before serving.
