Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup Whipped Topping (Cool Whip) Thawed
  • 1 (3.4 oz) box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix Do not cook
  • 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice Pulp-free
  • 1 tsp Orange Zest Freshly grated
  • 1 drop Orange Food Coloring Optional, for brighter color
For Serving
  • 32 oz Fresh Fruit Strawberries, mandarin segments, or pineapple chunks recommended
  • Graham Crackers or Vanilla Wafers

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes, ensuring no lumps remain.
  2. Gradually add the instant vanilla pudding mix into the cream cheese, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  3. Slowly pour in the orange juice and stir in the orange zest, mixing until the mixture begins to thicken slightly.
  4. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a rubber spatula until the color is uniform and the dip is light and airy. Add orange food coloring now if desired, mixing until streaks disappear.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up properly.
  6. Serve cold with assorted fresh fruit, graham crackers, or vanilla wafers for dipping. Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

For an extra bright orange flavor, substitute the orange juice with orange sherbet and allow it to soften slightly before mixing. Ensure the cream cheese is very soft to prevent a lumpy final texture.
