Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 1 package (12 rolls) Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 6 slices Cheddar Cheese Or Colby Jack
  • 6 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 0.5 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy Seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Minced Onion

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish suitable for the size of the roll package.
  2. Carefully slice the entire package of rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls connected in their original shape. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Layer the cheese slices evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Alternate between Cheddar and Swiss for the best melt and flavor distribution.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the cheese to assemble the sandwiches. Do not separate the individual rolls.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and dried minced onion until well combined. This is the savory topping.
  6. Evenly brush or drizzle the butter mixture over the top surface of the entire connected block of rolls. Ensure the edges are coated.
  7. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and the tops are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool for 2 minutes, then slice between the rolls before serving hot.

Notes

For an extra savory kick, you can add a very thin slice of ham or turkey between the cheese layers before topping with the butter mixture. These are best served immediately while the cheese is gooey.
