Method
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Mix thoroughly with a spoon or spatula until smooth and well blended.1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- Lay one tortilla flat on a clean work surface. Evenly spread about 2-3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture all over the surface of the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges. Repeat this process for three more tortillas, setting aside the remaining four for now.8 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
- Arrange 3 slices of thinly sliced deli turkey evenly over the cream cheese spread on each of the four prepared tortillas, ensuring good coverage. Try to overlap the slices slightly to create a continuous layer.12 slices thinly sliced deli turkey
- Sprinkle about 1.5 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese (or your chosen cheese blend) over the turkey on each tortilla. If using chives or green onions, sprinkle them evenly over the cheese.6 ounces shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives or green onions
- Starting from one edge, tightly roll up each tortilla like a jelly roll. Press gently as you roll to ensure a compact and even roll.
- Once rolled, wrap each tortilla log tightly in plastic wrap. Repeat steps 2-5 with the remaining four tortillas. Place all the wrapped tortilla logs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- After chilling, unwrap the tortilla logs. Using a sharp knife, slice each log into 1-inch thick pinwheels. You should aim for about 6-8 pinwheels per tortilla.
- Arrange your vibrant Meal Prep Turkey Cheese Pinwheels on a serving platter. They are now ready to be enjoyed as a delightful snack, lunch, or appetizer.
