  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

  2. Pour in the milk, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir everything together thoroughly until the brown sugar is mostly dissolved and all the oats are submerged in the liquid. Make sure there are no dry clumps of oats at the bottom.
1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  3. Secure the lid on your container or cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight. This allows the oats to absorb the liquid and soften, creating that signature creamy, pudding-like texture.
  4. In the morning, give your Maple Brown Sugar Overnight Oats a good stir. If the consistency is too thick for your liking, you can add a splash more milk until it reaches your desired creaminess. Spoon the oats into a serving bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings such as fresh berries, toasted nuts, a sprinkle of granola, or an extra drizzle of maple syrup.
