- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the cream cheese layer. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
