- Brew a strong batch of your favorite coffee. Allow the coffee to cool down completely. You can speed this up by brewing it a little stronger than usual and then pouring it into a heat-safe container and placing it in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or simply let it sit at room temperature until cool. This chilling step is crucial for an iced latte; hot coffee will melt your ice too quickly and dilute the drink.
- In a small bowl or directly in the glass you plan to serve your latte in, combine the honey, ground cinnamon, and optional nutmeg. If you're using a separate bowl, whisk these ingredients together until they form a smooth paste. This helps to better distribute the spices throughout the latte and prevents them from clumping.2 tablespoons honey, or to taste, 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pour your chosen milk into the bowl with the honey and spice mixture (or add directly to your serving glass). Add the vanilla extract. Stir everything together thoroughly until the honey is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth and well-combined.0.5 cup milk of choice (whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk work well), 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fill your serving glass generously with ice cubes.ice cubes
- Gently pour the chilled brewed coffee over the ice-filled glass.1.5 cups strong brewed coffee, chilled (espresso or dark roast recommended)
- Now, carefully pour the honey-cinnamon-milk mixture over the coffee and ice. Give everything a good stir with a long spoon or a cocktail stirrer. Stirring gently but thoroughly ensures that all the layers of flavor meld together, creating that signature Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte taste.
- Take a small sip and see if the sweetness and spice levels are to your liking. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little more honey and stir again. If you want a bolder cinnamon flavor, add another pinch of cinnamon.2 tablespoons honey, or to taste, 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For an extra touch of café-style flair and flavor, you can garnish your Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte. A sprinkle of extra cinnamon or nutmeg on top is always a lovely addition. Alternatively, you could add a drizzle of honey or even a dollop of whipped cream for a truly decadent treat.2 tablespoons honey, or to taste, 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Notes
Best enjoyed immediately. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but texture may change and ice will melt.
