Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 3 cups Honeydew melon Cubed and frozen is best
  • 1 cup Full-fat coconut milk Canned or carton, depending on desired thickness
  • 1/2 cup Water or extra coconut water Adjust for desired consistency
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup Optional, based on melon sweetness
  • 1/2 cup Ice cubes Optional, if melon isn't frozen

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the honeydew: Peel, seed, and cube the honeydew melon. For the best texture, freeze the cubes for at least 4 hours prior to blending.
  2. Combine ingredients: Place the frozen honeydew cubes, coconut milk, water (or coconut water), fresh lime juice, and optional sweetener into a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend until smooth: Start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Use the tamper if necessary to push ingredients toward the blades. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, about 45-60 seconds.
  4. Check consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more water or coconut milk and blend briefly. If it is too thin, add a few more ice cubes or frozen melon chunks.
  5. Serve immediately: Divide the smoothie evenly between two chilled glasses. Garnish with a small slice of honeydew or a sprinkle of toasted coconut flakes, if desired.

Notes

For an added protein boost, consider adding one scoop of unflavored collagen peptides or vanilla protein powder. Using full-fat canned coconut milk will result in a much richer, dessert-like consistency.
