Ingredients

For the Salad
  • 1 medium Honeydew Melon Ripe, seeds removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pint Strawberries hulled and halved
  • 1 pint Blueberries
  • 1 cup Raspberries
  • 1 cup Blackberries
For the Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons Honey or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Lime Zest

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the fruit: Ensure the honeydew melon is cubed into even, bite-sized pieces (about 1 inch). Halve the strawberries.
  2. Combine the fruit: In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the honeydew cubes, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
  3. Prepare the dressing: In a small separate bowl, whisk together the honey, fresh lime juice, and lime zest until fully emulsified. If the honey is too thick, warm it slightly in the microwave for 10 seconds.
  4. Dress the salad: Pour the honey-lime dressing evenly over the mixed fruit. Use a large rubber spatula to gently fold the ingredients together, ensuring the dressing coats the fruit without crushing the delicate berries.
  5. Chill (Optional): For the best flavor melding, cover the fruit salad and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to deepen.
  6. Serve immediately. If making far in advance, reserve a portion of the blueberries and raspberries to mix in just before serving to maintain their shape.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of fresh mint, finely chopped, to the dressing mixture. This salad is best consumed within 24 hours of preparation.
