Instructions
- Prepare all produce: cube the honeydew, peel and chop the cucumber, and measure out mint and lime juice.
- Combine the honeydew melon, cucumber, mint leaves, lime juice, and optional grated ginger into a high-speed blender.
- Add 1 cup of filtered water to the blender. Start blending on low, gradually increasing the speed.
- Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and liquefied. If the mixture is too thick, add the remaining cup of water (or more, a quarter cup at a time) until you achieve your preferred consistency.
- Taste the mixture. If using, add the honey or agave nectar and blend for 5 more seconds to incorporate.
- Pour the drink through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher or serving container to remove any remaining pulp, pressing down on the solids to extract all the liquid. (For a pulpier drink, skip this step.)
- Serve immediately over ice, garnished with thin cucumber ribbons or lime wedges.
Notes
This drink is best consumed immediately for maximum nutrient retention and freshness. If storing, keep refrigerated for no more than 24 hours; separation is natural, so stir well before serving.
