Ingredients

For the Iced Chai Latte
  • 1 teaspoon Chai concentrate (or 2 bags of chai tea) Or use 1/4 cup liquid concentrate
  • 1/2 cup Water If using tea bags
  • 1 cup Milk of choice Dairy or non-dairy (oat milk recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon Sweetener Maple syrup or regular sugar
  • 1 cup Ice cubes
For the Vanilla Sweet Cream
  • 1/4 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons Milk (of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Powdered sugar Adjust to taste, optional for extra sweetness

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the chai: If using concentrate, mix the concentrate with 1/2 cup water (optional, depending on desired strength). If using tea bags, steep 2 bags in 1/2 cup of hot water for 5 minutes. Discard bags and let cool slightly.
  2. Mix the chai base: In a tall glass, combine the prepared chai, 1 cup of milk, and 1 tablespoon of sweetener. Stir well until the sweetener is dissolved.
  3. Prepare the sweet cream: In a small bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar (if using).
  4. Whip the cream: Using a small whisk or electric hand mixer, whip the cream mixture until it is lightly aerated and slightly thickened, but still pourable (do not whip to stiff peaks).
  5. Assemble the drink: Fill your serving glass completely with ice cubes.
  6. Layer and serve: Pour the chai mixture slowly over the ice. Gently drizzle the vanilla sweet cream over the top of the chai. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, use a high-quality black tea base for your chai concentrate. The sweetness level can be easily adjusted in both the chai base and the sweet cream topping.
