Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 16 oz Plain Greek Yogurt (2% or whole)
  • 8 oz Low-fat Cottage Cheese Blended until smooth
  • 1 packet Dry Ranch Seasoning Mix (About 1 oz)
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Chives Finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Dill Chopped (optional, for flavor depth)
Serving Suggestions
  • 24 oz Assorted Dippers e.g., Vegetable sticks, pita chips, whole grain crackers

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the cottage cheese: Place the cottage cheese into a food processor or high-speed blender. Process for 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides, until the texture is completely smooth and creamy, resembling ricotta or thick cream cheese.
  2. Combine wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the smooth cottage cheese and the Greek yogurt. Whisk together until fully incorporated and uniform in consistency.
  3. Add flavorings: Add the entire packet of dry ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, fresh chives, and optional fresh dill to the yogurt mixture.
  4. Mix thoroughly: Using a spatula or whisk, fold all the seasonings into the yogurt base until the mixture is evenly seasoned and everything is well combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Chill: Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours) allowing the flavors to meld. This step is crucial for the best taste.
  6. Serve: Before serving, give the dip one final stir. Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with a few extra chives if desired, and serve immediately with your favorite dippers.

Notes

For an extra bright flavor, add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. This dip is best served cold. If making ahead, stir well before presenting, as the consistency might thicken slightly upon standing.
