Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper.
- Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted butter mixture over the shrimp and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
- Arrange the coated shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Roast the shrimp for 7 to 9 minutes, depending on size. The shrimp should curl into a 'C' shape and turn opaque pink. Do not overcook.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the hot shrimp, allowing it to melt slightly. Return to the oven for 1-2 minutes, just until the cheese begins to brown lightly at the edges.
- Garnish immediately with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot with fresh lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
For a spicier kick, increase the red pepper flakes to 1/2 teaspoon. This dish pairs wonderfully with a side of pasta tossed in olive oil or a crisp green salad.
