Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the au jus: In a small saucepan, combine the beef broth, bouillon (if using), soy sauce, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the bouillon dissolves. Keep warm over low heat.
- Slice the slider rolls horizontally in one piece, keeping the tops and bottoms together. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the roast beef evenly over the bottom buns. Top the beef with the provolone cheese slices, ensuring even coverage.
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and beef. In a small bowl, melt the butter and whisk in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
- Brush the melted herb butter mixture generously over the tops of the slider buns.
- Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and the filling to heat through.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until the tops are lightly golden brown and crisp. Slice the entire batch into individual sliders.
- Serve immediately. Place the sliders on a serving platter alongside a small bowl of the warm au jus for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sauté a thin layer of caramelized onions and layer them under the cheese. If you prefer a richer au jus, use beef consommé instead of plain broth.
