Ingredients

For the Skewers
  • 24 oz Frozen Tater Tots Conventional size
  • 12 Wooden or metal skewers Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Or a Mexican blend
  • 6 slices Bacon Cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 3 Green Onions Thinly sliced, for garnish
For Serving (Optional)
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 2 tbsp Ranch Dressing

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake according to the package directions for crispiness, usually about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Carefully remove the crispy tater tots from the oven. Thread 3-4 tater tots onto each skewer, leaving a small space between them.
  4. Top each skewer generously with the shredded cheddar cheese and the crumbled bacon pieces. Return the skewers to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the hot skewers with fresh, thinly sliced green onions.
  6. Serve hot, alongside small bowls of sour cream and ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

Ensure the tater tots are very crispy before threading, as they will soften slightly once loaded. For best results, use fully cooked and crumbled bacon. These are best enjoyed immediately after baking.
