Ingredients

  • 8 ounce can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely diced fresh jalapenos seeds and membranes removed for less heat, or left in for more spice
  • 2 tablespoons diced cooked bacon optional, for extra flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Medium Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, optional cooked bacon, and garlic powder. Stir vigorously until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to your liking, remembering that bacon can add saltiness.
4 ounces cream cheese, softened, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup finely diced fresh jalapenos, 2 tablespoons diced cooked bacon, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, salt, black pepper
  3. Unroll the can of crescent dinner rolls and separate them into individual triangles. Pinch the seams of each triangle together firmly to seal any holes, ensuring the filling doesn't leak out during baking. You can gently flatten them slightly if you prefer a thinner base.

  4. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the jalapeno popper filling onto the wider end of each crescent roll triangle. Don't overfill, or it will be difficult to roll.
  5. Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each crescent roll triangle, tucking in the sides as you go to completely enclose the filling. Place the seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are puffed, golden brown, and the filling is heated through and slightly bubbly.
  7. Let the Easy Jalapeno Popper Crescent Rolls cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a serving platter. They are best enjoyed warm!

Notes

To store leftover Easy Jalapeno Popper Crescent Rolls, allow them to cool completely at room temperature. Once cooled, place them in an airtight container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. They will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For reheating, the best method is to place the cooled rolls on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes, or until heated through and the crescent dough is re-crisped. You can also reheat them in a toaster oven or an air fryer for a few minutes. Microwaving is an option for a quick reheat, but it may result in a softer texture. If you wish to freeze them for future enjoyment, wrap them individually in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw them overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
