- Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee. If you have an espresso machine, pull two shots of espresso. If not, brew a concentrated cup of coffee using your preferred method – a French press or a Moka pot works well for a richer flavor. Allow the coffee to cool completely. You can speed this up by brewing it ahead of time and chilling it in the refrigerator.1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled (espresso is ideal, but strong drip coffee works too)
- Gather your vanilla syrup. If you're making your own, combine equal parts granulated sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in a tablespoon of vanilla extract. Let it cool completely before using.2-3 tablespoons vanilla syrup (store-bought or homemade)
- In a tall glass, add the chilled brewed coffee (or espresso). Then, pour in your chosen milk and the vanilla syrup. For a balanced sweetness, start with 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup and add more to taste.1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled (espresso is ideal, but strong drip coffee works too), 1/2 cup milk of your choice (whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk all work wonderfully for creamy results), 2-3 tablespoons vanilla syrup (store-bought or homemade)
- Fill your glass generously with ice cubes. This is crucial for achieving that classic iced coffee texture and temperature.Plenty ice cubes
- Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine the coffee, milk, and vanilla syrup. Ensure the syrup is evenly distributed for consistent flavor throughout your drink.
- If desired, top your Easy Homemade Starbucks Iced Vanilla Coffee with a dollop of whipped cream and an extra drizzle of vanilla syrup. A sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg can also add a delightful aromatic touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste!whipped cream, a drizzle of extra vanilla syrup, a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
Notes
Making this at home is incredibly cost-effective. Stored coffee stays fresh for 2-3 days. Freeze coffee mixture in ice cube trays for a future treat.
