Method
- In a medium bowl, gently combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough sliders.1 pound ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Form the mixture into 12 small patties, roughly the size of your slider buns.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked through. For the juiciest sliders, avoid pressing down on the patties while they cook, as this squeezes out valuable juices.
- During the last minute of cooking, place one slice of cheese on top of each cooked patty. Cover the skillet briefly to allow the cheese to melt beautifully.12 slices cheddar cheese
- While the cheese is melting, lightly butter the cut sides of your slider buns. You can toast these in the same skillet if there's room, or in a separate pan or toaster oven until golden brown. This step adds a delicious texture and prevents the buns from getting soggy.12 slider buns, butter
- Spread a thin layer of ketchup and mustard onto the bottom halves of the toasted buns. If using, mix the pickle relish with the ketchup and mustard for a tangy sauce.2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, 1 tablespoon pickle relish
- Place one cheesy beef patty on top of each bottom bun half.
- Top the patties with your favorite optional toppings such as crisp lettuce, fresh tomato slices, pickles, or any other condiments you enjoy.lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, extra ketchup, extra mustard, mayonnaise
- Place the top half of each bun over the toppings to complete your Easy Cheeseburger Sliders.12 slider buns
- For the best taste and texture, serve your Easy Cheeseburger Sliders immediately while they are warm and the cheese is perfectly melted.
Notes
Leftover Easy Cheeseburger Sliders can be stored in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to 2–3 days or up to 1–2 months if frozen. To reheat refrigerated sliders, place them on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes. If reheating from frozen, bake for about 15–20 minutes.
