Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup Frank's RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (or your favorite buffalo sauce)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns or small dinner rolls, split horizontally
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded cheddar cheese optional, for topping
  • Ranch dressing or extra blue cheese dressing, for serving
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped for garnish, optional

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, Frank's RedHot sauce, and 1/4 cup melted butter. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated. Set aside.

  2. In a separate small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon butter (melted) with the chopped celery and red onion. Microwave for about 30-60 seconds, or until the vegetables are slightly softened. Stir in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

  3. Lightly toast the inside of your slider buns if desired. Spoon a generous amount of the buffalo chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each slider bun, dividing it evenly.

  4. If using cheese, sprinkle it over the buffalo chicken mixture. If you prepared the creamy celery and onion topping, add a spoonful of that over the chicken and cheese.
    1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup finely chopped celery, 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion, 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  5. Place the top half of each slider bun over the filling.
    12 slider buns or small dinner rolls, split horizontally
  6. Arrange the Easy Buffalo Chicken Sliders on a platter. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.

Notes

Best to store the buffalo chicken mixture and slider buns separately. Reheat the chicken mixture separately and assemble fresh sliders for best texture.
