- Heat the apple cider and milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until steaming, but do not boil. Alternatively, heat in the microwave.
- Once hot, remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the chai tea bag and maple syrup to the cider mixture. Let steep for 4 to 5 minutes until the tea flavor is robust.
- Remove and discard the tea bag. Stir in the ground cinnamon until fully incorporated.
- If you desire, froth the chai-cider mixture using a handheld frother or whisk vigorously until slightly foamy.
- Pour the latte into your favorite mug.
- Top with whipped cream and a light dusting of fresh nutmeg, if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer, deeper chai flavor, you can use 1/2 cup strong brewed chai tea concentrate instead of steeping a tea bag directly in the cider mixture. Adjust sweetness based on the tartness of your apple cider.
