  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese or your favorite melting cheese
  • Hamburger buns for serving

Method
 

  1. Brown the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease.

  3. Combine Ingredients: Add the browned and drained ground beef to your slow cooker. Pour the prepared sauce mixture over the ground beef, stirring gently to ensure all the beef is coated evenly.

  5. Add the Cheese: About 15-20 minutes before serving, remove the lid from the slow cooker. Place the cheddar cheese slices over the top of the meat mixture. Cover the slow cooker again and allow the cheese to melt completely.
