Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 2 large Nectarines Peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Plain, full-fat recommended for maximum creaminess
  • 1/2 cup Milk Dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Or maple syrup, adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds For added fiber

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare the nectarines by washing them thoroughly, removing the skin, and slicing the fruit away from the pit.
  2. Place the prepared nectarine pieces, Greek yogurt, milk, honey, and vanilla extract into a high-speed blender.
  3. If using, add the chia seeds now.
  4. Add the ice cubes to the blender last. Starting with less ice allows you to adjust thickness later.
  5. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides of the blender jar if necessary.
  6. Taste the smoothie. Add more honey if you prefer it sweeter, or add 1-2 more ice cubes if you prefer it thicker.
  7. Divide the nectarine smoothie evenly between two glasses and serve immediately for the best texture.

Notes

For an extra cold and sweet smoothie, freeze the nectarine slices overnight before blending. This reduces the need for too much ice, resulting in a denser flavor.
