Method
- In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, finely chopped yellow onion, breadcrumbs, lightly beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to tough burgers. Mix just until all ingredients are evenly distributed.1 pound Ground beef, 1/2 cup Yellow onion, 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs, 1 Large egg, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper, to taste Salt
- Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions. Gently roll each portion into a ball and then flatten it into a patty, about 1/2-inch thick. Aim for a size slightly larger than your slider buns, as they will shrink during cooking.
- Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of oil if using a skillet. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For cheesy sliders, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.1 tablespoon Oil (for skillet), 12 slices Cheddar cheese, 1 pound Ground beef
- While the burgers are cooking, you can lightly toast your slider buns. You can do this by placing them cut-side down in the pan with the burgers for the last minute of cooking, or toast them in a toaster or oven.12 Slider buns
- Spread your desired condiments on the bottom half of each slider bun. Place a cooked burger patty on top of each bun. Add any other desired toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, or sautéed onions.12 Slider buns, 1 pound Ground beef
