Method
- Gather Your Ingredients: Lay out all your measured ingredients so they are ready to go. This ensures a smooth blending process.
- Combine Liquids: Pour the unsweetened almond milk and the plain Greek yogurt into your blender. The yogurt will contribute to a wonderfully thick and creamy consistency, mimicking the richness of a cream cheese frosting.1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- Add Dry Ingredients: Add your scoop of vanilla or unflavored protein powder, the rolled oats (if using for extra substance), cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice (if you’ve decided to include it for a more complex spice profile), and vanilla extract to the blender.1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder, 1 tablespoon rolled oats, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon allspice, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Add Ice: Toss in the ice cubes. The number of ice cubes can be adjusted based on how thick and cold you prefer your shake.4-5 ice cubes ice cubes
- Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid on your blender and blend on high speed until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the shake is perfectly smooth and creamy. There should be no grainy texture from the protein powder or oats.
- Prepare the Glaze (Optional): If you're opting for the "glaze," in a small bowl, whisk together the 1 tablespoon of almond milk, sweetener of choice, and a tiny pinch of cinnamon until smooth. This will create a thin, drizzly consistency.1 tablespoon unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 teaspoon powdered erythritol or a pinch of stevia, A tiny pinch cinnamon
- Serve and Garnish: Pour the Cinnamon Roll Protein Shake into a glass. Drizzle the prepared glaze over the top of the shake, if desired, for that authentic cinnamon roll finish.
