Ingredients

  • 1 cup full-fat cottage cheese Full-fat is recommended for the creamiest texture, but you can use low-fat if preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons natural creamy peanut butter unsweetened is best
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk dairy or non-dairy, adjust for desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey optional, for added sweetness
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt salt to enhance all the flavors

Equipment

  • Medium Bowl
  • Spoon or small whisk
  • Serving Dish

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, add the 1 cup of full-fat cottage cheese.
    1 cup full-fat cottage cheese
  2. Add the 2 tablespoons of natural creamy peanut butter and the 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder directly to the cottage cheese.
2 tablespoons natural creamy peanut butter, 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  3. Pour in 1 tablespoon of milk. If you prefer a runnier consistency, you can add up to another tablespoon. Add the optional 1 teaspoon of maple syrup or honey for a touch of sweetness, the 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract for aroma and depth, and a pinch of salt to enhance all the flavors.
1-2 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, Pinch salt salt
  4. Using a spoon or a small whisk, thoroughly mix all the ingredients together. Stir vigorously until the peanut butter and cocoa powder are completely incorporated and the mixture is a uniform, smooth chocolatey brown color. Ensure there are no lumps of peanut butter or streaks of cocoa powder.
  5. If the mixture is too thick for your liking, add the remaining tablespoon of milk (or a little more, a teaspoon at a time) and mix again until you reach your desired smooth, creamy consistency.
    1-2 tablespoons milk
  6. Spoon the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cottage Cheese Bowl into your serving dish. You can enjoy it immediately as is, or add your favorite toppings for extra flair and flavor.
