Method
- In a medium bowl, gently combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough burgers. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.1 pound lean ground beef, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or on a grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, or adjust cooking time to your preference. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside, allowing them to rest for a few minutes before slicing or crumbling if desired.2 tablespoons olive oil or other cooking oil
- While the burgers are cooking or resting, divide the shredded lettuce evenly among four serving bowls. This forms the fresh, crisp foundation for your burger bowls.4 cups shredded lettuce
- Top the shredded lettuce with the halved cherry tomatoes, chopped red onion, and chopped dill pickle slices.1 cup cherry tomatoes, ½ cup red onion, ½ cup dill pickle slices
- Place a cooked burger patty on top of the vegetables in each bowl. You can either leave the patties whole or crumble them for easier eating.
- Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the warm burger patties. The heat from the burgers will help the cheese melt slightly.½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Now comes the fun part! Add any of your desired optional toppings like crispy bacon bits, sautéed mushrooms, thick slices of avocado, or a perfectly fried egg.Crispy bacon bits, Sautéed mushrooms, Avocado slices, Fried egg
- Finish your Burger Bowls Recipe with your favorite burger sauce, a drizzle of ketchup and mustard, or a creamy aioli.Special burger sauce (ketchup, mustard, relish, mayonnaise blend)
Notes
Store leftover components separately in airtight containers. Reheat burger patties before assembling. Avoid reheating raw vegetables.
