Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 1 bowl
Course: Breakfast, Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or non-fat)
  • 1/2 cup homemade or store-bought granola look for options with whole grains and minimal added sugar
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Method

  1. Spoon the Greek yogurt into your serving bowl. For a creamier texture, you can gently stir the yogurt with a spoon to make it smoother. If you prefer it less tangy, you can add a tiny drizzle of honey or maple syrup directly into the yogurt and mix it in.
1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or non-fat), 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  2. Sprinkle the fresh or frozen blueberries evenly over the yogurt. If using frozen blueberries, they will naturally thaw slightly and create a wonderfully cool, slushy effect as they sit.
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  3. Generously add your chosen granola on top of the blueberries. Aim for a good crunch to contrast with the creamy yogurt and soft berries.
1/2 cup homemade or store-bought granola
  4. Scatter the chia seeds and chopped nuts over the granola. These add an extra layer of texture, healthy fats, and sustained energy.
1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  5. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the entire bowl. If you haven't already sweetened the yogurt, now is the time to add a small drizzle of honey or maple syrup, ensuring an even distribution for a balanced sweetness.
1 pinch cinnamon, 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup

Notes

This bowl is best assembled just before serving for optimal texture. It does not require reheating. If yogurt is too firm from refrigeration, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften. Toasting granola briefly is optional but allow it to cool completely before adding.
