Method
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking, which will make cleanup a breeze.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the 1 pound of bulk pork sausage.1 pound bulk pork sausage
- Pour the 2 cups of Bisquick baking mix directly over the sausage.2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- Sprinkle the 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (your favorite sharpness) evenly over the sausage and Bisquick mixture.1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Add the 1/4 cup of milk to the bowl. This will help bind the ingredients together.1/4 cup milk
- Using your clean hands, gently but thoroughly mix all the ingredients together. You want to ensure the Bisquick, cheese, and milk are evenly distributed throughout the sausage. Be careful not to overmix, as this can lead to tougher sausage balls. The mixture should be cohesive and easy to shape.
- Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter. A cookie scoop can be helpful for uniform size. Place the formed sausage balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are nicely browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
- Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Let the Bisquick Sausage Balls cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a serving platter. Serve warm and watch them disappear!
