Method
- In a small bowl, whisk together the light mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust sriracha for desired heat level. Set aside.1/4 cup light mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sriracha, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain off any excess grease.1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 pound lean ground turkey
- Add the finely chopped yellow onion to the skillet with the browned turkey. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is softened and translucent, about 3–4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion, 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Pour the prepared Bang Bang sauce over the ground turkey and onion mixture. Stir well to ensure all the turkey and onions are evenly coated in the delicious sauce.1 pound lean ground turkey, 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and the flavors to meld.
- Divide the cooked rice into individual serving bowls. Spoon a generous portion of the Bang Bang ground turkey mixture over the rice.1 cup cooked white or brown rice
- Sprinkle each bowl with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Add any optional toppings like shredded carrots, cucumber slices, or a fried egg if desired. Serve immediately.1/4 cup chopped green onions, 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds, Shredded carrots, cucumber slices, a fried egg
