- Pat the shrimp very dry with paper towels. This is crucial for crispiness.
- In a medium bowl, toss the dry shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring there is some space between each piece. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through (around 4 minutes), until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp from the air fryer. Immediately toss them with the grated Parmesan cheese and half of the fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately, garnished with the remaining fresh parsley.
Notes
Do not overcook the shrimp; they cook very fast in the air fryer. If you prefer a slightly crispier coating, you can toss the shrimp in 1 tsp of cornstarch along with the dry seasonings before adding the oil.
