Ingredients

- 1 cup water (filtered for best taste)
- 1 teaspoon green tea (loose leaf or 1 tea bag)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- Juice of ½ fresh lemon
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
Instructions
- Heat 1 cup of filtered water until just about to boil.
- Add the sliced ginger to your cup or teapot, pour in the hot water, and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Add the green tea (bag or loose leaf in an infuser) and steep for another 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in lemon juice, honey (if using), and cayenne pepper.
- Enjoy hot or let cool and pour over ice for a refreshing cold version.
