Description
These spooky Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats are the perfect no-bake Halloween dessert! With gooey marshmallows, crunchy cereal, and fun decorations, they’re monstrously delicious and sure to be a hit.

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 10 oz (about 40 large) marshmallows
- 1/4 teaspoon green food coloring
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Candy Eyes
Instructions
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter, stirring occasionally.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth (about 3–5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in green food coloring until evenly colored.
- Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until coated.
- Press mixture evenly into the prepared pan using a greased spatula or hands.
- Let cool completely for 30–60 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (30-second intervals) or in a double boiler until smooth.
- Cut cooled treats into squares or rectangles. Create zig-zag cuts at the top for Frankenstein’s hair.
- Dip or drizzle the tops in melted chocolate to form hair.
- Add two candy eyes to each treat while chocolate is still wet.
- Refrigerate 15–20 minutes until chocolate sets before serving.
Notes
For the brightest green color, use gel food coloring. Lightly grease your hands or spatula to prevent sticking when pressing the mixture into the pan.
