- 1 ½ cups rolled oats

- ½ cup brown sugar (or alternative sweetener)
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter (or coconut oil)

- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour or line with parchment paper an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add melted butter (or coconut oil) and brown sugar, then mix well.
- Stir in rolled oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in nuts and chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
- Slice and serve.
