Description

This Amish Cough Syrup isn’t just another concoction; it’s a powerhouse of natural goodness that will have you feeling better in no time. Its natural ingredients soothe the body, providing much-needed relief from coughs and sore throats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (raw, unfiltered)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Grate the ginger and set aside. Squeeze and strain the lemon juice.
  2. In a clean glass jar or bowl, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice. Stir well until fully blended.
  3. Add the grated ginger and cayenne pepper to the mixture. Stir to combine thoroughly.
  4. Store the syrup in a glass jar in the refrigerator. It will keep for 2 to 3 months.

Notes

Warm a spoonful before use for added soothing effect. Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for best results. If substituting ingredients, maple syrup can replace honey, and orange or grapefruit juice can replace lemon.
