Description

A creamy, satisfying, and flavourful Amish-style casserole packed with chicken, noodles, and a buttery cracker topping – pure comfort food made easy.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together cooked chicken, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Gently fold in cooked egg noodles until well coated with the sauce.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter.
  6. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Great for weeknight dinners or potlucks. You can use leftover rotisserie chicken or canned chicken for convenience.
